The objective of steam trap surveys is to detect problems such as steam leaks, low energy efficiency, flooding, inappropriate design or sizing, faulty assembly, inadequate discharge temperatures, high back pressure, obstructions, blockages, water hammer, etc. Typically, more than 20% of steam traps leak live steam, which is incompatible with rational energy use, sustainable growth and the fight against Climate Change.
